A T-shirt can be found in most, if not all of our wardrobes. It’s flexible, easy to wear and is highly comfortable. But did you know that there are many uses for T-shirts that you wish to discard? When it’s time for a long-due spring cleaning session, be sure to separate your old clothes from T-shirts that still look good and wearable.
For the girls, finding a long, big T-shirt that belonged to your boyfriend or spouse can be very rewarding. You can easily turn this shirt into a nice dress that you can wear during hot, blustery summer days. Go wild using your creativity, because there is no limit as to what you can do with this T-shirt-cum-dress. You can cut off the sleeves, decorate the dress the rhinestones and ribbons, or even sew on other decorative elements such as buttons or pockets to spruce up your casual look.
T-shirts can also be made into cloth bags. You do not need to possess sewing skills akin to a seamstress. Again, all you need is creativity. Get your scissors out and start cutting up the shirts. Here’s a tip: You can cut off long shirt sleeves and attach them to the bag to make slings! Very nifty, and you’ll be doing Mother Earth a favor by reducing the number of plastic bags used.
